Our standard run group format has drivers running their first session for twenty minutes, then four sessions of twenty-five minutes, and their final session runs for twenty minutes. Overall, you will get two hours and twenty minutes of track time! We do not typically allow drivers to "run down a group" as overcrowding can occur, and sometimes not everybody commits to learning the passing rules of every group. This can lead to an unsafe situation, which we do everything we possibly can to avoid. We simply will not be a part of anything that could jeopardize your safety.
The track opens at 7:00 AM during peak season, and at 6:30 AM during the off season. The earlier opening is because the sun sets early in December and January. This allows participants ample time to find a spot in the paddock and prepare their cars. When you first enter the gate, there should be a guard near the entrance who will ask you to sign the track waiver. The guard will be able to direct you to registration. Upon entry to the paddock area, please look for the registration area first thing. We do not have a ton of time to get you all registered. Please bring to the registration desk your completed tech form. You will at that time receive our event bracelet pass. You will also need to sign the medical release form that all tracks require. This form comes with its own event bracelet which will be distinct from our own. BOTH bracelets must be worn on your wrist if you are to go out on track, whether as a driver or as a passenger. The tech form is available to download at www.onemain.com/~bonster/techform.pdf. The schedule, the tech form (in case you forget to download it), and other items of interest will be emailed to you about a week before the event.
Please park in an orderly fashion, as you might do at a supermarket parking lot. Many folks like to back their vehicles into a spot, allowing them faster and safer access toward the entry of the hot pits. If you have any questions on where to park, or any other question, please ask!
All vehicles must be positively identified using a number that either you choose (see registration form) or that we assign to you at random. The car number may be applied with white shoe polish (we have a limited supply) in the upper right (passenger) window, you may bring either magnetic or vinyl stick numbers for both doors, you can use painter's tape (available at most hardware stores), or in the case of cars with rear glass, the number may be applied there as well -- your choice of method. In any event, ALL CARS MUST HAVE NUMBERS, at least six inches in height. If you do not have a number on, you will not be let out on track. If somehow we missed it that you don't have numbers, you will be black flagged and sent back to the paddock to remedy the situation.
All T.E.A.M. Racing events include a supply of Gatorade, bottled water, healthy snacks, catered lunches, and one-on-one instruction for the novice group. Instruction is available for intermediate and advanced drivers so long as it is requested well ahead of time. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!
