• A FINAL NOTE •
To
Some Landscape and Construction Contractors: Especially here in Oregon.
Please reconsider the use of all the River Sand
being dumped into those new Lawn Installations for all this New Construction.
Sure it’s easy to level, especially in the rain, and boy-o-boy we
get a lot of it, but it results in excessive irrigation needs and chemical
fertilizer use, in the Summer months, which waste our resources and add to the
pollution of our environment. Plus it really looks bad when the Lawns are a
sickly yellow (with small green spots from animal urine) and dry because the
Sand can’t hold the water or nutrients, no matter how much is used.
It’ not fair to the customer or property owners who most likely will
never know what is causing the problem. But we do. Don’t we?
