CLIMATE HISTORY AND GEOLOGY

AN OUTLINE OF CLIMATE HISTORY

REVISED APRIL 2010
A brief guide and tutorial on the history and mechnisms of climate change.  Natural weather and climate cycles occur at all time scales, and have persisted since the earliest history of the Earth.  The existence of life, and man's activities are highly dependent on the weather.  The present episode of global warming threatens to upset the natural environment, agriculture, travel, and most of man's activities.
