Graduates Obedience
(note: this is a combination of former Intermediate & Advanced classes)
For dogs that have learned the basic skills, the Graduates class provides practice
on stays, recalls, and other obedience commands under increasingly challenging distractions.
The final class is a field trip to practice in a real life setting. New commands, such as “swing” (get into heel position),
and some basic agility obstacles (jumps, tunnels, etc.) will be introduced.

Prerequisite: completion of Kirsten's puppy or basic level class, and your dog must be well- mannered, sit, lie down, and walk
on a loose leash reliably in a group class situation.
Class meets
for an hour every
week for six weeks and costs $120. Class size is limited to six dogs so please pre-register.
Advanced Obedience
This class provides practice ignoring more intense distractions and includes work on out-of-sight
stays and introduces the commands “back up ” and “stand.” Some basic agility obstacles (jumps, tunnels, etc.) will also be introduced.
Prerequisite: Intermediate Obedience and no aggression issues. Class meets for an hour every week
for four weeks and costs $80. Class size is limited so please pre-register with

The first class is an overview of the equipment you need and how to train your dog to pull for sledding, skijoring, weight-pulling, and carting. Bring your dog the second week for a "dry-land" introduction to pulling in harness and some practice with commands. Look for this class once the weather gets cooler! $40 for two weeks.
