Sometimes private training is the best option for addressing a behavior
problem with your dog. For example, if your dog is fearful or aggressive,
putting her directly into a class might make the problem worse. Also, some
problems (e.g. housebreaking, digging) occur primarily at home, making training
elsewhere impractical. Finally, private training offers the advantage of
individual attention and focus on the specific issues you are facing.
Typically, I make a “house call” for the private training
session, which generally lasts about an hour and includes written
instructions. The
fee for this service is $100/hour (a travel fee may be added depending on location). For most people, a single session
is enough to get started and then
I suggest a follow up with a class for more practice in a challenging
environment.
