A bad pun?

   I just saw your headline ("Banks accused
of hypocracy," July 9) and it made me won-
der - is hypocracy a new form of govern-
ment?
   If so, it would be preferable to the current
state of hypercracy we are living in.
   Then again, maybe it was just a bad pun.
Maybe television has caused the deteriora-
tion of our grammatical skills to the point
where society as a whole is at risk.  Maybe
proofreaders are in short supply because
they've ruined their credit due to the banks'
"hypocracy".
   Even those of us with above average
spelling and grammatical skills don't know
for sure.
