The folks over at McKenzie Iron and Steel have been busy making new product. In fact, they've been so busy, they haven't finished their website just yet, and have asked us to host some photos of their latest kit.

The new kit is of the Fordson-powered Toppins truck. Toppins was one of a myriad of aftermarket outfits using the dependable Fordson engine and transmission to power various vehicles, including ones with rubber tires, crawler tracks and even with railroad wheels.

We here at The Back Shop had a small hand in the development of some of the patterns (including the umbrella (!) you see in the photo), so we have some paternalistic pride in the final product. The kit is of white metal, and includes illustrated instructions. Included are two different wheelbase frames, the multiple-piece Fordson power plant, seat, umbrella, radiator, everything you see in the photos.

The kit does include both frames and drive systems, so you can build it either way, with Chain Drive - Short Chassis, or Differential - Long frame. Bare chassis only. The dump box is from another kit. Bill also has new figures, FM-385 "2 Teamsters" (one shown) at $8.00/pair. The Toppins truck kit is $55.00 plus $4.05 shipping.
