STOP PRESSES !!

Let me see if I can get this straight: John Kerry just announced he will accept the nomination at the Democratic Convention, so that means he accepted the nomination, then didn't accept it, and now accepts it again. So, is that a FLIP, a FLOP and then another FLIP ??

Why is this making me hungry for some pancakes ?? !!

John Kerry: Out of Touch with Reality

How many articles have there been, both in the Boston newspapers, and elsewhere, about the massive disruption which will be caused by the Deomcratic Convention? It's not like it was some State Secret. Yet, our John Kerry today sniffs HE wasn't "told" about it.

Man, what planet has this guy been living on? This is in the state he is supposedly representing and he claims he doesn't know what's going on in Boston: WHERE HE LIVES? This guy is starting to become so surreal, as to be beyond parody.

John Kerry's Konvention

The current buzz concerning the lack of an acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention in Boston, is summed up here. Key sentence from Kerry himself:

"I'm not going to let silliness in the legal process deprive us of a full contest for the presidency of the United States."

Anotherwords, all of the election laws don't apply to Mr. Big Shot, and you Little People out there had just better follow along. Without an acceptance sppech, the Convention will be just another Wellstone pep rally. Considering taxpayer money is funding the Convention, then in "fairness" (which is the trendy word these days among liberals), the Bush campaign should be given equal time to produce their own pep rally, and with equal televesion coverage and equal doles of the tax payer's money. After all, it's only "fair."

UPDATE, 25 May: well, well, it looks like someone agrees with me.

Disgusted

Yes, I'm disgusted over the prison abuse scandal. It was an incredibly stupid thing to have happen, and I hope all involved are properly punished. However, I'm equally disgusted over the actions of the Media and certain U.S. political types, with their incredible grandstanding and exploitation of the story for political gain. It's absolutely shameless.

And now we have the beheading. Watching NBC News last night, it became obvious at once this news didn't fit into their agenda and they were clearly uncomfortable with it. They rushed by the story in order to get to the prison abuse story, where they spent ample time bashing and distorting everything. I've noticed over the last few days the one photo of police dogs with prisoners has transmutted into the story line of "attack dogs," and NBC isn't the only one using this insane and perfectly fraudulent term. Disgusting.

About the time the prison story broke, John Kerry had just lauched his zillion-dollar TV ad campaign to "reintroduce himself" to the voters (what's this? about the third or so time he's had to "reintroduce" himself?). He can't get any traction, and the polling numbers haven't improved for him (Mickey Kaus put it perfectly: "The needle, she no move!"). That tells me the prison story has been 'way over-played and the public isn't buying the Media talking points.

Kerry Watch: This Week's Episode

Well, once again, Blogger Mickey Kaus is on top of the story: that is, this week's John Kerry flip-flop and this time, involving Benedict Arnold and his outsourced companies. Kaus absolutely nails Kerry on this. Read the whole Thing, as they say.

UPDATE, 06 May: Mickey Kaus uncovers the true story behind the latest-latest Kerry flip-flop (scroll down slightly). Once again, this is typical of Kerry. It's all catching up with him.

Kerry Watch

Blogger Mickey Kaus now counts about eight or so articles which have appeared in the last few days with comments by Democrats who are having second throughts about Kerry. He has links to all the articles.

Kerry simply isn't going to make it. He just doesn't cut it at all, and it's his own fault. He keeps talking about 'introducing himself' to the voters. Man, he doesn't seem to realize many voters have already figured him out, and based on the articles Kaus links to, many of those voters are Democrats. I keep reading here and there he will be dumped or asked to step aside, leaving the sainted Hillary to fly to the Convention on Broomstick One and be crowned. Either way, I think the next few months will be a real wild ride.

Buyer's Remorse

You have to wonder if by now, some people are beginning to have buyer's remorse or second thoughts concerning John Kerry. The generally phony persona, flip-flops, back-tracking, straddling, word parsing and outright lies are catching up to him. There is only a short time to go until the Democratic Party's National Convention in Boston, and if he is nominated, they are stuck with him until November. At least a few people have to be thinking this guy is a all-around loser who will drag the Party down to defeat.

He can't seem to address even the simplest of questions, as with the SUV flap the other day, when he tried to pass it off on his wife rather than just saying "yes, we own a SUV, next question please." He even dig a deeper hole when he lectured that people ought to buy American-made cars and saying proudly he'd bought a Chrylser 300M. Earth to John: that car is made in Canada. This guy is a real piece of work.

UPDATE: 26 April. The Kerry "performance" today on "Good Morning America" is a major melt-down. Study the transcript and notice the interviewer can hardly get a word in edgewise, while Kerry flop-flops, parses words ("it all depends on what you mean by the word 'ribbon' "). This is unbelievable and unbecoming. Is there still time for a Dump Kerry movement to form before the Convention? Democrats this morning HAVE to be wondering about this guy.

EVEN MORE UPDATES: See what Mickey Kaus has to say about some of this. Even Wonkette is trashing Kerry.

A Tangled Web

This article is fairly lengthy and complex in its details. Save it for when you have some time to truly appreciate what it is conveying. If you have ever wondered about John Kerry's wife's finances, this is THE one must-read article.

While the far-left Tides Foundation is mentioned only in passing, there is considerable discussion of several other "foundations" which, in fact, do not exist, despite claims they are legitimate. The whole thing comes off as very fishy and contrived to prevent query on the part of the public or other interested parties.

Perspective

I recently spent considerable time abroad, and there is nothing like a trip overseas to if nothing else, get some perspective on things going on currently in the U.S.A. The two biggest things I noticed are 1) our problems are not the focus or even the center of interest to many people; and 2) there is the firm wish about coming to the US permanently, along with a desire for payment in US Dollars.

That is in pretty stark contrast of the picture painted by the US Media and "certain" political types in this country that we are hated to the point of obsession. It isn't true, folks. Take a long trip and see for yourself.
