Link 'n Pin Couplers ! For The Coupler Boxes Used by Bachmann, McHenry, Kadee #5 and Kadee #26 
The Back Shop now has link 'n pin couplers which are a DROP-IN into the Bachmann coupler box. There are no modifications needed to either the coupler shank or the box itself. Simply unscrew the coupler cover, drop out the McHenry "E-Z" coupler, drop in The Back Shop coupler, and screw the cover plate back in place! Should you later decide to re-install the "E-Z" coupler, simply reverse the procedure. Nothing is altered or changed by the use of these couplers! The couplers and parts are precise, crisp, investment castings in BRASS. They are fully scale, done from the originals in our collection. The cross section on the cast link measures .013-014" ! Other On30 cars and kits use either the Kadee #5 or #26
boxes. We now offer link 'n pin shanks which are compatible with those boxes,
and take advantage of the centering feature. Installed properly, our shanks
will self-center, same as the Kadee. Please specify #5 or #26 style when ordering.
Price is same, whether for Bachmann or Kadee: 4 shanks, links and pins for $3.95 msrp.
We also are offering a separate "long shank" link 'n pin coupler for the On30 Bachmann locomotives. The image above shows the coupler mounted into the rear pilot of the Bachmann Porter 0-4-2T. Two shanks, pins and links are $3.45 msrp. Again, there are absolutely no modifications whatsoever required of either the coupler of the coupler box. You unscrew the cover plate, drop out the "E-Z" coupler, drop in The Back Shop coupler and screw the coupler plate back in place.
